VELVET

STEP 1: WASHING

Cotton-blended velour with elastane doesn't require frequent washing. It's recommended to simply air it out between wears.

If stains occur, clean them locally with a damp cloth or soft brush. If a full wash is necessary, turn the pants inside out and machine wash them at a maximum of 30°C, on a delicate cycle, with similar colors.

Use a mild detergent, without bleaching agents. Avoid fabric softener, which can damage the elastane and weigh down the velvet texture. Do not overload the machine to avoid crushing the fabric.

STEP 2: DRYING

Tumble drying is not recommended: heat can shrink cotton and damage elastane, while flattening the ribbing of the velvet.

Let your pants air dry in the shade, lying flat or hanging upside down. Avoid direct heat. Do not twist them; gently squeeze them by hand if necessary.

STEP 3: IRONING

Velvet rarely needs ironing because it naturally keeps its shape.

If you need to steam it:

  • Iron inside out at low temperature.
  • Do not crush the material: use a damp cloth and avoid direct pressure.
  • Vertical steam is ideal for relaxing the fibers without altering the texture of the velvet.

STEP 4 : STORING

Store your velvet garments folded or hanging, according to their shape:Structured pieces (jackets, shirts) on hangers.Soft pieces (pants, overalls, etc.) folded flat.Store them in a dry, clean place away from light to preserve color.Alternate wear to avoid localized wear, especially in areas of friction (crotch, elbows, collar). Finally, remember to air your pieces from time to time if they remain in the wardrobe for several weeks without being worn.
