SEA ISLAND FIBER / POLYURETHANE

STEP 1: WASHING

Sea Island cotton and polyurethane pieces don't require frequent washing. This rare cotton, very soft and durable, deserves special care. We recommend simply airing the piece between wears to preserve the fiber and prevent wear.

IN CASE OF A STAIN

Preferably, spot clean with a clean, damp cloth or soft brush. If a full wash is necessary, turn the garment inside out and machine wash at a maximum of 30°C, on a delicate cycle, with similar colors.

Use a mild detergent, without bleaching agents. Avoid fabric softener, which can affect the elasticity of the polyurethane. Do not overload the machine to avoid friction, which could weaken the fineness of the Sea Island cotton.

STEP 2: DRYING

Do not tumble dry: heat can damage the fine fibers of Sea Island and reduce the flexibility provided by the polyurethane.

Allow the piece to air dry in the shade, either flat or hanging upside down. Avoid contact with a direct heat source (radiator, sun). Never twist the piece: gently squeeze it by hand to remove excess water if necessary.

STEP 3: IRONING

Ironing is rarely necessary if washing and drying have been done properly.

If necessary, iron the piece inside out at a low temperature, avoiding areas containing polyurethane. Using a damp cloth is strongly recommended to protect the shine and fineness of the fiber.

STEP 4: THE INTERVIEW

Store Sea Island cotton pieces folded, flat, in a clean, dry place, away from light. This prevents warping and protects the color.

This exceptional cotton requires regular but gentle care: alternate wears to extend the garment's life and avoid excessive friction. If you won't be wearing the piece for a while, remember to air it out from time to time to maintain its freshness and suppleness.
